I'm Anthony, but you can call me Bananafish, the cool kids do. I love pasta, and have a strange phobia of many kinds of jewelery. I like adventuring, I will probly like you, it takes alot for me not to. I am incredibly sarcastic and will most likely come off as crude if you don't know me all that well. Bananas are pretty sweet, did you know at one point in history there were hundreds of different kinds, all with their own unique taste and flavour? I want to teach kids, thats my goal. I love turtles.

I'm a sophomore here at Grand Valley, and I live at Campus West. I work at a restaurant in Grand Haven which is where I grew up. I am a waiter and love talking and conversing with people. As stated above, I want to be a teacher. Which is why I am here. I didn't want to teach science because there were alot of labs involved, and math just got way to complicated. Language Arts has to have a higher grade point average to get into the college of ed for, so I landed with history. Not to mention that history really peaks my interests.

I also had liver cancer as a child. And Craniosynastosis. I love playing video games in my free time. Food is good. I enjoy swimming, diving, surfing, skimming, kneeboarding, longboarding, skiing, and mostly road biking.

About Me

Hi! My name is Jenni Steinhoff and I am a Sophomore at Grand Valley Sate University. I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Elementary Education. I plan to teach 1st or 2nd grade special education. I am from Mancelona, MI and I miss being in Northern Michigan all year round.

In my free time I like hanging out with my friends, watching movies, and being a facebook addict. I love to dance and have been doing it for 16 years. I am an active member of the Laker Village Programming Board and I am also a member of the Grand Valley Dance Troupe.

I have never really blogged before, so I hope I can get comfortable talking about history through this blog. I have never really been interested in history, but through History 203 I hope I will learn some interesting information I can share with you on this blog. I will probably write about ancient mespotamia because we are learning about that and I am reading a book on everyday life during that time.

A Little About Me

My name is Kara Price. I’m from Zeeland Michigan, and am currently a junior at Grand Valley State University. I just transferred from Northern Michigan University this fall. I’m a psychology major with a women and gender studies minor. I plan on going to graduate school after I get my bachelors degree, because let’s face it you can’t do anything with just a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I plan on becoming a marriage and family counselor when I’m older with hopes of moving to the state of Washington near the Pacific Ocean.

I have two younger sisters; Krista who is nineteen and Leah who just turned sixteen. We usually spend our weekends down at our boat in South Haven. My family has two very big house cats that are bigger than our pug.

Some of my hobbies include reading, drawing, swimming, and snowboarding. I just recently learned how to snowboard this past winter, and can’t wait for it to start snowing again. I love the outdoors, especially hiking and camping. I hope that someday soon I can start backpacking with some of my friends. I’m not a big fan of the beach though. I hate sand, it always ends up everywhere.

I’ve never used a blog like this before, and I hope that I will be able to understand and get the hang of it soon. I don’t really know much about world history, so I am very excited to be a part of this blog project this year. Throughout the semester I hope to learn more and be able to share what I have learned using this blog.

Introductory Statement

Hello Fellow Bloggers. My name is Marion Davenport. I am a sophomore at Grand Valley State University. My current major is Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in General Business, but is subject to change. I have not yet determined my true calling and/or passion, so for now, I will continue to search. My favorite hobby is taking photographs and enhancing them digitally. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and conversation over a good cup of coffee.

I have never had an overwhelming passion for history, but I am hoping to acquire some interest in it throughout History 203. I have always been inquisitive about ancient Egypt, and I will probably do a majority of my blogging on that topic. Beyond that, my expectations for this assignment are to have a little fun blogging, having my blogs read and commented on, and doing the same for others. I believe this is a great tool to help each of us learn a little something about a variety of topics because everyone has different interests.
